Professional counseling with Christian values to support your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
At Berean Counseling, our mission is to provide behavioral health treatment that leads clients to seek and deepen their own relationship with the Jesus Christ as the “Wonderful Counselor” (Isaiah 9). We believe healing comes through Christ, and that we are a witness, helper, encourager, and advocate during the journey.
If you are at a Christian counseling website, you probably already know that the Bible does not specifically address "mental health" with the contemporary labels and systems we use today. However, the Bible does discuss your spirit, attitude, mind, and heart. Sometimes these may be out of alignment due to biological, environmental, or historical issues, and a therapist can be another support in a "multitude of counselors."
Why “Berean” Counseling? In the Book of Acts, Paul and Silas preach in Berea, and the residents not only accept the gospel, but are recorded due to several notable characteristics:
Counselors have a significant influence on the lives of their clients. The American Counseling Association notes in the Code of Ethics that “trust is the cornerstone of the counseling relationship,” and as Christian counselors, we strive to model and encourage others to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). We will seek to ensure that treatment is Biblically guided and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
